Los Angeles

Living in Los Angeles, you forget that the city you live in is a destination for other people. You forget to appreciate the history of Los Angeles. There is so much to learn; so many things that can light a spark for a new adventure; and I want to share what I discover as I take another look at Los Angeles.

Los Angeles was founded on September 4, 1781, by Spanish governor Felipe de Neve. Los Angeles became a part of Mexico in 1821 after the Mexican War of Independence. In 1848, at the end of the Mexican–American War, Los Angeles, and the rest of California, was purchased as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, and became part of the United States. Los Angeles was incorporated as a municipality on April 4, 1850, five months before California became the 31st State of the Union on September 9, 1850.

Hope you enjoy the photos and quick stories and will begin to experience your city as a tourist!!!
